The Labyrinth at The Sacred Garden of Maliko was completed in Nov. 2006.
Right from the beginning a series of "miracles" have surrounded this venture.
In fact, The Sacred Garden is a powerful place for miracles, magic and manifestation. Nearly every week a new miraculous event happens. A few of them are recorded here.
We began with building the sacred circle in the Kukui Grove. Kukui means Light in Hawaiianso the labyrinth is nestled in a circle of light. The Maliko streambed runs just on the other side of the labyrinth.

|
| The labyrinth in The Sacred Garden began as a circle of stones filled with gravel. |
|
|
| Then the bricks were laid out and "planted" in the gravel. |

The Center Stone:
The night we finished the circle, I had a dream in which I was shown a rock and was told that I was to find it on our property and put it in the center of the labyrinth. Sarcastically, while still dreaming, I asked where I was supposed to find it as there are millions of rocks in the streambed on our property. I was shown exactly what the rock looked like and where it would be. The next morning, I drew the rock in my journal and then went to look for it. Exactly where I was told it would be is where I found this rock. The angles on the rock match my journal drawing. It is kind of shaped like a quartz crystal with angles and a point, but the sides are smooth as if they'd been tumbled by the stream.
About two months after I found the stone and put it in the center, a friend asked me, "Have you seen the Madonna in the stone?"
I went out to look and lo and behold, there it was. Do you see it?

The Buddha and Labyrinth:
We first placed the Buddha's altar, and then began building the labyrinth circle. At the time, there was a wall of cane grass separating the two. When the labyrinth circle was completed, we cut down the cane grass so that the labyrinth could be seen from the Buddha and vice versa. When the wall of grass was gone, we discovered that the Buddha and the center of the labyrinth line up exactly. Divine guidance is clearly at work here!

Labyrinth Island
In December, the river rose, and rose, and rose....until the labyrinth became an island! Turbulance surrounded the labyrinth, but the sacred remained.... |

In January, a woman experienced her first labyrinth walk ever, while her husband took her picture. When they got the film developed, there was a spiraling vortex of light in one of the picturesmatching the color of her outfit exactly. (It is hard to see it here, but the light really has a spiral to it.) They brought the picture into us, as impressed with the photo as we were. (No, none of the other pictures had the light beam, there did not appear to be any camera malfunction.) |
|
|
| The labyrinth is located under trees that drop Kukui nuts and sticks, so PLEASE WALK AT YOUR OWN RISK. We assume NO RESPONSIBILITY for your experience....but it is our prayer that you have a great one! |
